XSAVAGEX: A decade of Northwest Power Violence

xSAVAGEx was formed in 2014 in Seattle, Washington by Rodney “Ronin” Garcia on guitar and Haroldo “H-Murder” Mardones on drums with both contributing on vocals. Originally built as a 2-piece project, the band would include bassists from a variety of other power violence/grindcore heavy hitters including Michael Vinatieri of Capitalist Casualties. Berto Salas (Ignit) would join as the bands permanent bassist in 2019.

Ranging from punishing riffage influenced by Apartment 213 to grinding hardcore/metal chaos in the vein of Pig Destroyer, xSAVAGEx continues to experiment and hone their sound while sticking to their roots: heavy, drop tuned, ignorant and politically driven power violence.

As of 2023, xSAVAGEx continues to record, tour, and leave audiences’ heads caved in.
